Having missing teeth can knock your confidence, as well as affect the way you eat and speak. Whether you want dental implants, bridges or crowns an army of specialised technicians design and manufacture them specifically for youWe work with the UK’s top cosmetic dental laboratory to obtain the best materials and best craftsmanship.

The dental implant process is generally easier than removing a tooth. You should not feel any pain during the procedure.

Dental Implants are small titanium screws that are inserted into your bones by gently prying open the gum and drilling into your bone. Often a temporary crown, bridge, or denture may be placed at this stage until the gum and bone heal. more...

Are dental implants suitable for me?

On the whole, dental implants are suitable for the majority of patients – providing you are in good health. It’s important to maintain good oral hygiene after the procedure to help with the recovery process. If they aren’t cleaned properly, your implants can develop a coat of residue, much like plaque builds on our natural teeth. If this happens it could lead to gum infection, bleeding, soreness and discomfort.

Overall, strong healthy gums and jawbone are the main factors to take into consideration when we decide if dental implants are suitable for you.

What are the benefits of Dental Implant Surgery?

Among the many advantages to getting dental implants are:

Improved appearance. Dental implants look and feel more natural than dentures. Because they fuse with your jawbone, they become permanent. Eventually, you won’t even notice them.
Improved speech. Dentures can slip in your mouth, become loose, and make talking clearly very difficult. Dental implants, on the other hand, replace your teeth without requiring any sort of daily adjustments.

Improved comfort. Once you’re used to the feel of your new dental implants, they are naturally a part of you!

Easier eating. No more having to worry about not being able to eat your favorite foods! Since dental implants are fused into your jaw, they work just like regular teeth.

Working teeth are not affected. With a tooth-supported bridge, nearby healthy teeth have to be reduced to support your replacements. However, dental implants do not affect working teeth, improving your overall oral health. Plus, it’s easier to brush between individual implanted teeth.

Are implants safe and how long will they last?

Implants are a safe, well-established treatment. It’s probably true to say that implants, much like natural teeth, will last for as long as you care for them. How well you look after your implants – and whether you go for your regular maintenance appointments – will have the biggest impact on how long they will last.

If you don’t look after your implants they will develop a coating similar to what you get on neglected natural teeth. Left untreated, this can lead to gum infection, bleeding, soreness and general discomfort. You could get all these problems with natural teeth. If your implants are well looked after, and if the bone they are fitted to is strong and healthy, you can expect them to last for many years. However, just as with other surgical implants (such as a hip replacement) there is no lifetime guarantee.

What is involved in the fitting of a dental implant?

In a straight forward case the insertion of an implant will take around 15 minutes.

If necessary, it is possible to extract an existing tooth and fit your new implant immediately. This will however, depend on the tooth we are working on and the condition of your gums.

What if I have had issues with gum disease?

If you have suffered with gum disease in the past you may now have lower bone density. Don’t despair as there are a number of ways in which we could improve the situation.

Bone grafts and sinus lifts can both be used to help rebuild any missing bone. Do be aware though – if procedures such as these are required, healing will need to take place before your implants are fitted.

We also offer wrinkle softening injections (Botulinum toxin), dermal fillers for a full range of areas, lip enhancement, as well as apply chemical peels. Our skilful and gentle clinicians use the highest quality materials at reasonable prices. Visit us for a free consultation.

You are in Good Hands

Your first visit will be a calm and gentle experience. In our tranquil waiting room we will offer you a drink, ask you to fill a medical form and give you our price list. You will then meet the dentist and will spend time to get to know each other, so we can tell us your past experiences with dentistry and your thoughts and wishes for your teeth. We give you the time and space to express yourself and listen without judgment. Your dentist will then conduct a thorough examination of your teeth and take any necessary X-rays (with consent).

After your inspection, the dentist will use a mirror to show you the current condition of your mouth and explain any X-ray results. They will discuss the pros and cons of the treatment options available to you. You will have all the guidance and information you need to guide you to choose which option may be best for you. We use clear communication to enable you to make informed choices. When planning treatments, your comfort and the long term benefit to you is always our main concern.
